Began in new ministry in Lamphun, Thailand May 2016
Being raised in a Christian home, I was exposed to the Gospel at an early age. I am blessed to have a Mother who recognized an opportunity to share what Christ had done for me when I was only five years old. Since that time, I can clearly see how God protected and set me apart for serving Him on the mission field. I gave my life to The Lord my freshman year at West Coast Baptist College when I surrendered to serve on the foreign field. Since that time, I have trained in a variety of children's ministries and helped in a new church plant to prepare for the mission field. I graduated in May 2013 from West Coast Baptist College with a Bachelor Degree in Elementary Education. Shortly after graduation, I started the deputation trail and am working toward Thailand and getting there as soon as the Lord provides.
The Mission Field
During the Spring of 2012, The Lord provided the opportunity to visit Thailand on a short missions trip. It was on that trip that my eyes and heart were opened to the great need in Thailand. After praying for many years about the right mission field, it was clear that God had placed me in Thailand for a reason. I am looking forward to assisting church planting missionaries and reaching the Thai people.
I am partnering with the Ballou family in Lamphun Thailand. God has opened the opportunity to be a part of a new church plant and serve in many different aspects of ministry. There is also an open door in the area of teaching English, for all ages. Most Thai children are taught the basics of the English Language, but are eager to hear the correct way of speaking what they learn. What better way to teach them than with the Bible?
Greetings from Lancaster Baptist Church and West Coast Baptist College! I trust this letter finds you well and enjoying the blessings of God upon your life and ministry this summer.
Please allow me to take a moment today to recommend to you, my niece, Amie Richard for your consideration of missions support. God has greatly burdened her to take the Gospel to the people of Thailand.
Amie graduated from West Coast Baptist College as a good student. She was very active in ministry during her time of college training. Amie is a soulwinner and seeks to make a difference for the cause of Christ. Her love for the Lord and for souls has been clearly evident as she has faithfully labored in local church ministry.
I believe God will use Amie in a great way, and I encourage you to help her financially and prayerfully as she seeks to reach lost souls in Thailand.
Dr. Paul Chappell
Pastor of Lancaster Baptist Church
It is my honor to recommend Miss Amie Richard as a missionary. Amie has traveled to Thailand and has been unwavering in her goal and desire to serve the Lord on the foreign mission field.
I have known Amie since she was eighteen years of age and have watched her resolutely work her way through college while overcoming both financial difficulties and some minor health issues. She did not allow this to slow her or to stop her.
Amie has shown a heart for people and a heart for the lost. I believe that she will represent your church and other churches well in the country of Thailand.
